In winter, the town of Whitefish is alive with its apres-ski atmosphere! Central avenue is replete with lively bars, restaurants, pubs and breweries, as well as boutique shops candy and ice cream stores and trendy coffee houses. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes.

During the spring, summer and fall, downtown Whitefish is equally as inviting and entertaining. Depot Park at the north end of town hosts Tuesday night Farmers Markets throughout the summer. Live music can be heard most nights of the week at hot spots like the Great Northern, Craggy Range and the Remington. The Oshaugnessy Center is the home of many musical and theatrical acts throughout the year, and there is an abundance of art galleries gift shops and more where you can browse and find unique Montana-made gifts and souvenirs!

Under The Big Sky Music Festival
Set on a 350-acre ranch just outside of Whitefish Montana, Under the Big Sky celebrates the tradition of gathering friends and family together under open skies to listen to music. Whitefish Winter Carnival
The Whitefish Winter Carnival occurs every year in early February. From the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort to the festively decorated streets of downtown Whitefish, the area comes alive with revelry and merriment for a weekend of fun and celebration. Events occur all over town both indoors and out, from parades down Central avenue to Skijoring events at the edge of town, to fireworks and a torchlite parade down the slopes of Big Mountain! There are also many parties, gatherings and live music events that are scheduled at many of the bars, pubs and hotel ball rooms throughout the town.
