Whitefish Mountain Resort is a world-class ski and summer resort located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in northwestern Montana. The resort offers 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 113 named runs, and four terrain parks. "Big Mountain," as it was originally known, is also home to the longest lift-accessed zip line in Montana

Wintertime

Whitefish Mountain Resort is home to a diverse variety of skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of 2,353 feet. The resort has 113 named trails, including everything from beginner to expert terrain. There are also four terrain parks, a skier/boardercross course, and more!

The winter season runs from late November to early April.

Summertime

In the summer, Whitefish Mountain Resort offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, an alpine slide, zip-lines, an aerial obstacle course and more! There are also several scenic trails that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Summertime activities include:

  • Over 30 miles of lift-accessed and cross-country mountain bike trails
  • 6 unique zip-lines including some routes as long as 1900 feet in length and boasting heights of up to 300 feet!
  • Alpine Slides: unique bob-sled like tracks that careen down the mountain around turns, under bridges and through tunnels along the way!
  • Aerial Adventure Park - an obstacle course in the tree tops!

The summer season runs from June to September.
